Elsa EDC Rings in the Holidays

Merry Christmas from Elsa EDC!

It has been a memorable holiday season in the city of Elsa. The team at Elsa EDC kicked things off with the city’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting, which took place on December 8. One of our favorite annual events, the Christmas Tree Lighting brought in over 2,000 attendees, making it one of our biggest yet! From a toy giveaway to special performances, it set the tone for an amazing holiday season in Elsa.

“Christmas is such a special time in the RGV, and we wanted to make sure we did everything we could to help our community celebrate and set the tone for the season,” said Daniel Rivera of Elsa EDC. “Thank you to State Rep Terry Canales and Judge Eli Rodriguez for collaborating with us in donating 1,000 toys for local children. This would not have been possible without them.”

Attendees of the Christmas Tree Lighting were in for several surprises, including artificial snow, an appearance by Santa, Elsa and Olaf, and the Grinch, who was captured by the Elsa Police Department. Thank you for saving Christmas, Elsa PD!

In addition to special appearances, attendees were treated to musical performances by students from EEISD and IDEA Elsa.

“The EDC is grateful for having so many people come out to support the community. We want to give a special shoutout to the Mayor, city council, volunteers, and everyone else who made this event a success. Thank you for helping Elsa EDC ring in the holiday season.”

We’ll see you next year!
