Pizza Xpress is now in Elsa, TX!
Last week, the Elsa Economic Development Corporation and the City of Elsa teamed up to welcome Pizza Xpress to its newest location in the city’s thriving Downtown District. This family-owned business is serving up delicious pizza, wings, and tortas to residents all across the Rio Grande Valley, with locations also in Weslaco and Edinburg.
Owner and operator Santiago Olivares and family welcomed Elsa residents, city council members, and city of Elsa employees with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“From the moment we arrived we received a lot of support on behalf of the administration of this beautiful city,” said Olivares. “We chose Elsa because we saw a city that loves pizza, and we felt they needed a “perfect pizza” from Pizza Xpress.”
Mayor Alonzo Perez attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony, stressing the importance of lending a hand of support to new additions like Pizza Xpress. “The city of Elsa supports all businesses. We don’t just want them to come in—we want them to succeed,” said Mayor Perez. “It’s great when you buy local because you are supporting local businesses and that brings in revenue to your city, and that revenue is used to improve your streets and your parks.”
Pizza Xpress is located at 616 N Broadway St. and is open Monday through Saturday. “We thank you for your support and for believing in Pizza Express’s product,” said Olivares. We’ll be here to serve everyone in the Rio Grande Valley.”
